Dr. Tessler was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He attended McGill University in Montreal, where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Medical Degrees. He came to UCLA for his Pediatric Residency and stayed on to complete a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship. Dr. Tessler has practiced Pediatric Cardiology for over 47 years, and was one of the first to perform pediatric interventional catheterizations in the Los Angeles area. He was instrumental in the formation of the Pacific Pediatric Cardiology Medical Group. He is now semi-retired and continues to work with our practice, seeing office patients several days a week. His interest in clinical pediatric cardiology and in the care of adults with congenital heart disease continues.
